The Story

1:18 Scale by Ottomobile.  The iconic E55 AMG!  Resin, SEALED (no opening parts).  LIMITED EDITION: 3000 pieces worldwide.

The W210 has the tough task of succeeding the legendary W124/E500 at Mercedes Benz at the dawn of the 21st century. AMG, now a subsidiary of the German company, was in charge of the sporty versions of the new E-Class. The AMG creation benefits from a large 5-litre V8 engine (E50) and a 5.5-litre engine (E55). The magnificent German car differs from its predecessors in having sleeker, more refined lines. Its appearance in the Men In Black II movie boosted its popularity at its launch. As is often the case, AMG only scratches the surface of the original design, adding widened wings, slightly modified bumpers and, above all, 18’ wheels. Most of the work is done under the bonnet! The AMG Kompressor engine develops 500 bhp, but above all boasts an incomparable 700 Nm of torque at 2,700 rpm! Its roadholding is exemplary, making it the benchmark when it first came out.
