Waiting for a future 992 GT3 RS, the 991-II GT3 RS improved all points and performance of the previous version. A special conversion kit was also developed for the model, called the Weissach Package: for 18,000 euros, the car received a series of modifications that reduced the weight by 18 kilograms. A further weight gain was possible thanks to the use of magnesium rims, for a reduction of 12kg on unsprung masses. About 70% of buyers opted for these particular rims.
